Nuage and D.B.

Nuage has been with our family since fall of 2005. But he was biting Kiyanna, and the rest of the family and getting out of shape. So I figured a kitten would help him stay on his toes, get some more exercise, and distract him from Kiyanna.

At first Nuage was very teritorial, which is what we expected. He would threaten with his paw, and thump D.B. on his head. But Nuage acted scared of the kitten, too. It was so funny to watch.

We put a harness on D.B. and hope he will train to the leash as easily as Nuage did. We need to keep him used to the car too, so he can go camping with us. We love camping with the cats.

It wasn't long before the cats had an uneasy truce. I knew D.B. was fine, because he started a lot of the play fighting. And they started getting closer without fighting as well. I don't think Nuage ever used his claws, kept them sheathed.
