December 2006 Blizzard

What a snowstorm! It will be a white Christmas, but it is not easy because many families will not be traveling as they had planned for the Christmas holiday. Not only is DIA shut down for all travel, but there is fog in Heathrow, bad weather in Chicago and delays and cancellations in many other airports. Colorado residents may not be driving anywhere for a few days as well.

Kiyanna built herself a snow tunnel.

DH shoveled our walk, and helped a neighbor shovel our neighbor's walk. It is deep snow - more than 2 feet of snow!

Last night the vehicles were just snow drifts! And now the Pinz has a windshield that we put on today. It is our best 4WD vehicle, but it is too cold - and still damaged from the accident in November - to use it to run errands.

A day later we have sun and a little melting. But deep snow, especially where it has been piled to shovel the sidewalk, driveway and a place for people to park this weekend!

Rich is over 6 feet tall! So the snow is piled MUCH higher!

Amazing! the snow blown over the edge of the roof - it fell later in the day while we were out shopping. And there are reindeer footprints in the snow on top of the camper. LOL

The snow almost blocks the view of the front door, but the lights are pretty. The lights are even reflecting in the side of the camper.

Back to Christmas letter.
